In February and March of 2007, the Harvard University Graduate School of Design and The Clark Group convened thought leaders from a variety of disciplines to explore the on-going environmental transformation of the U.S. Economy.

The Turning the Ship dialogue commenced on February 5, 2007 on-line discussion hosted by www.greenbiz.com. Over a five-week period, twenty authors from leading businesses, NGO's and local governments posted articles exploring the latest developments in fields relating to environmental sustainability of businesses in the United States.

On March 13, 2007, the discussion continued with a roundtable discussion convened at the Genzyme Center, a platinum-rated green building in Cambridge, MA. The roundtable discussion brought together leaders from business, academia, government and the non-profit sector to explore market and policy barriers inhibiting adoption of environmentally sustainable practices by U.S. businesses.

In the coming weeks, a final report summarizing the Turning the Ship dialogue will be posted on this website.
